Vietnamese Community of Central Florida Lunar New Year Festival 2013 – The Studio
Every year thousands of people gather together at the Central Florida Fairgrounds for the annual Vietnamese Lunar New Year. The event is hosted by the Vietnamese Community of Central Florida or Cong Dong Viet Nam Trung Tam Florida. For 17 years the community has continued its traditions of lion dances, ancestor ceremony, ribbon cutting ceremony, martial arts demonstration, cultural dances and performances.
In addition, the festival held two prestigious pageants, The Mrs. Vietnam Florida Pageant (Hau Hoa Phu Nhan) and the Miss Vietnam Florida Pageant, gala concert, and much more.
Authentic Vietnamese cuisine was served hawkers style on both days of the festival from the three regions of Vietnam. There were plenty of fine and specialty food, drinks, and snacks for all ages.
SNAP! Studio Booth was the official photo sponsor for the Vietnamese Lunar New Year Festival. For two days, we had our Studio and SNAP set up on opposite sides of the festival to capture as many photos as possible. In fact, on Saturday we had the contestants from the Miss Vietnam Florida Pageant 2013 collected donations for the Vietnamese Community of Central Florida by asking guests to make donations before taking photos with them. Many people enjoyed taking photos in our Studio set-up which had a beautiful white taffeta backdrop with LED up lighting. It made the photo look regal and sophisticated.
Thanks to our sponsors Esquire Legal Group, ProCare Pharmacy, Manzo & Associates, Yum-mi Sandwiches, and Injury Accident Walk-In Clinic guests were able to print out a free photo with each ticket stub given at gate entry.
All the photos are on our Gallery, Facebook, and Flickr page!
